Sudden leaks, to tens of metres.
Small pressure nodes at existing gauge ports, timed to the millisecond, so the wave a leak sends can be timed.
Sudden leaks: 157 → 20 m typical error, in simulation
No gain on slow leaks
Outbound only. Nothing can command the line.
Six nodes, one edge box, your SCADA
Six nodes at places you can already reach: both ends and the four valve stations. They send out by mobile network. Nothing can send commands back.
Sudden leak
157 → 20 mTypical location error, SCADA alone → with six nodes.
Slow, growing leak
No gain130 m before, 137 m after. A slow leak sends no sharp wave to time.
Quality matters
5× noisierA rougher sensor loses most of the gain and misses most small leaks. Do not save money on the sensor.
Simulation, 447 leaks. Node sampling 5 times a second, clock good to 5 ms. The 20 m figure is at the limit of what the simulator can resolve; expect worse on real pipe.
What it needs
- A spare gauge port at each site
- Mobile network coverage
What it is not
- No node is built yet
- Hazardous-area certification comes later, with a partner
See Nodes on your line.
Book a demo and we walk through it on simulated cases, with the limits stated.
